Name: Lorrie, President/Co-Owner
How did you become an Interior Designer? By following my passion. I am inspired in settings that are both lovely AND liveable and I am passionate about creating that for other people. I believe that our surroundings have a great impact on us and want to help others create a haven and a home for themselves and their families.
Tell us about your design experience: I have two interior design start ups under my belt and have been in the interior design and decorating business for 12 years. Prior to working in the design field, I studied music and art at Texas Christian University, then worked as the Creative Arts Director for several large churches. This position included the visual arts, such as stage and set design.
How would you describe your design stye? comfortable, relaxed, colorful, welcoming, kind of masculine?
If you were stuck on a deserted island, what three things would you want to have with you? A laptop (I’d need internet service on the island please), my iPhone (cell tower as well please) and a boat.
What is your “movie” home (i.e. Which interior space from a movie/tv show would you live in if you had the chance)? Probably the house from “It’s Complicated”. Love all the Nancy Meyers movies houses!
Dream destination: New York City, with a sidetrip through the Catskills.
Favorite season: Fall
Favorite book: To Kill a Mockingbird
What was the last item you purchased for your home? Toilet paper. Fuzzy spiders for Halloween.
Favorite color/s: Apple Green
Stay tuned in the coming weeks to get Lorrie’s inspiring take on interior design.

I love all the Nancy Meyer’s houses, too. The one from It’s Complicated rocks, as does the one from Something’s Got to Give. Great profile on you!
