We all know about the Man Cave…but what about the Mom Cave? Today we’ll be giving you 4 tips for creating a space where you relax, get your creative juices flowing, hang with girlfriends, or just plain get away.
1) Give yourself some positive reinforcement. The Mom Cave is the perfect place to put some wall art with words of inspiration because sometimes we all need a pick-me-up.
2) Pay attention to the 5 senses. For example, if you’re crafting or scrapbooking in your Mom Cave, lighting is of utmost importance so that you can SEE! If you’re trying to relax, lighting your favorite scented candles is key. Capri Blue Candles.
3) Make sure the furniture is comfy!!! Again, if you’re using your Mom Cave as an office or workspace, make sure your desk/work chair is the best one you can find – the health of your back is worth it. If you’re using your cave as a place to sit down and relax…pick a chair with an ottoman…or even a chaise. Via Color Outside the Lines.
4) Go a little wild. This is YOUR space so try some things you maybe wouldn’t elsewhere in your house. Maybe it’s a crazy chandelier, maybe it’s wild colors, maybe it’s, gasp…white furniture!!! Only if it’s a kid-free zone, of course.
