Name: Molly Hansen, Design Associate
Describe yourself in 3 words: Fun, Reliable, & Nurturing
How did you become an Interior Designer? I have always had a passion for designing since I was little.
Our family owns a painting and decorating business so I have been privileged to have it in my life from
a young age. I just recently graduated from Northwest Missouri State University where I received a BS
degree in Merchandising with a Business minor. I was lucky enough to be able to do my internship at
Fluff during the summer of 2010 and started as a design associate in August of 2011.
Tell us about your design experience: Besides projects and my internship experience at Fluff, I have
helped out my family and several family friends with their design problems.
How would you describe your design style? I feel like the style that best fits me and my personality
would have to be eclectic, transitional. But, my alter ego would have to lean more towards a formal
style.
What is your favorite room in your house and why? I would have to say our fireplace room. With thick
architectural beams on the ceiling to create an inviting space, mixed along with the red sofa and candles
galore, it’s perfect getaway!
If you were stuck on a deserted island, what three things would you want to have with you?
My AAA card- can’t they help you anywhere?!
My cellphone of course- to call AAA…
My closest friends, family, and of course my Fluff family too!
What is your “movie” home? (as in, which interior space from a movie/tv show would you live in if
you had the chance?) If I could live in ANY house from a movie, it would have to be Hogwarts from the
Harry Potter movies. There are so many passage ways and exciting adventures in store around every
corner!
Dream destination: Would have to be a toss-up between the Greek Isles and Ireland.
Favorite season: Spring. I love when the weather starts warming up and the birds start chirping again!
Means that summer is right around the corner…well in the Midwest, we hope it is!
Favorite book: The Diary of Ann Frank
What is one item you want to purchase for your home? Oversized Klismos chair with nail heads-these
just look so awesome!
Favorite color/s: Plum and Teal
